Why Our Refund Policy is Different
At Proposal Rings, every ring is custom-made to your exact specifications — metal type, stone, carat weight, and ring size. Because each piece is uniquely crafted for you and cannot be resold, we have a specific refund policy that balances your protection with the nature of custom jewelry.
Order Cancellation
Within 24 hours of placing the order
Full refund if the order has not entered production. No questions asked.
After 24 hours
Orders cannot be cancelled once crafting has begun. We start work on your ring immediately to meet the 21-day delivery timeline.
Split Payment Refunds
We offer a flexible 50/50 split payment option. Here's how refunds work with split payments:
- Cancelled before production (within 24 hrs): First payment (50%) is fully refunded
- Second payment not yet made: If you haven't made the second payment and the ring is ready, you are still obligated to complete the payment as the ring has been crafted to your specifications
When Refunds Are Applicable
- Order cancelled within 24 hours (before production begins)
- Manufacturing defect confirmed by our quality team
- Wrong product delivered (different from ordered specifications)
- Product not delivered within the committed timeline (and customer chooses to cancel)
When Refunds Are Not Applicable
- Change of mind after the 24-hour cancellation window
- Incorrect ring size ordered (free size exchange available instead — see our Exchange Policy)
- Minor variations inherent to handcrafted jewelry
- Natural inclusions in gemstones
- Damage caused after delivery

Manufacturing Defects
If you receive a ring with a manufacturing defect, you are entitled to a full replacement or refund:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos
- Our quality team inspects and verifies the defect within 24-48 hours
- You choose: full replacement (same specifications) or complete refund
- We arrange free pickup of the defective item
